Whilst a large majority of the Dutch are still in favor of EU membership, a substantial minority openly wonders whether we as Dutch citizens – or residents of other Member States – should be that thrilled about the ever-increasing intertwining of our own legislation, standards and identity with those of the other EU Member States.
