Annelien Zaal

Annelien Zaal is a Consultant at &FLUENCE. She specializes in:

Annelien graduated with a degree in International Relations (Utrecht University and Ca´ Foscari Venezia) and an LLM in International Law (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam). During her two Masters, she researched the influence of private security companies on international security and international law. In her theses, she examined the legal and ethical position of these companies, and offered solutions for the high extent of impunity. Annelien is very interested in the limits- and violations of sovereignty. In her work at &FLUENCE, she is passionate about making the connection between the public sector and the private sector.

Before joining &FLUENCE, Annelien worked at Dröge & van Drimmelen and at Berenschot’s EU-team prior to that. She advised clients on, among others, European integration, tech, energy, and strategy.
